The 3^rd  house signifies an ability that has been acquired by practice & training hard (Hands=Musicians, Keyboard's).... ! The 3^rd house being (upachaya,)is one's competitive ability, so it being strong helps them to win in competitions with vigour.

Affliction to the 3^rd house signifies issues with Neighbour’s ……. worthless efforts, break in education, loss of younger siblings, Issues with one’s Mother-( great distress by the demise of Parents), endurance, cope-up ability, litigations, fines-( fined for parking on the wrong side of the street),penality-(fined for Libraries, travel tickets fines,cheque bounce, late payments of utility bills etc) accidents & surgery -(hands/arms/shoulders, right ears)…....

The 3^rd house signifies the “Devil's Advocate” having affliction to 3^rd house makes a person who disputes; who is good at or enjoys controversy kinda someone who present an alternative opinion - someone who, given a certain argument, takes a position he or she does not necessarily agree with, for the sake of debate-(quick-witted debater)……also 3^rd house signifies one's servants, minor debts, Partition of property(disputes with younger siblings etc)........

4-instance, Let us take an example- Bill Gate’s chart, - his 3^rd house lord (Sun) is debilited placed in 5^th house(Libra) with enemy Saturn, & Venus(12^th Lord)……..in his D-9 chart, shows his 3^rd house lord (Moon) is debilited in the 7^th house(Scorpio).
